The school currently has 260 pupils in total including a 34 part time nursery children.
Most pupils come from a White British background and few speak English as an additional language. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported through school action is below average. The proportion of pupils supported at school action plus, or with a statement of special educational needs, is average. Following our growing popularity we now have two nursery classes. Additional ‘wrap-around’ care for Nursery-aged children is provided in the afternoon for children who require all day provision.
For three year olds who were not able to start school in the September we offer a facility called rising 3’s also known as Oaks and for our two year old learners we offer a facility called Little Acorns. Both facilities offer high quality provision with committed staff who are passionate about giving our little learner the best start to their education. Our care and support doesn’t stop there as Glenthorne Primary School operates Sticky Fingers, our before- and after-school club. All of these services are run by qualified staff and managed by the governing body.
